We are excited to announce that the 3rd Annual Charleston International Film Festival (CIFF) will be held at the classic American Theater in downtown Charleston, April 8th –11th, 2010. American Theater is a beautiful venue and a staple in our historic city. The American is centrally located making it easy, and more eco-friendly, for Lowcountry residents and visiting filmmakers to participate in all of our fun and educational events, as everything will be within walking distance.

CIFF 2010 will continue to showcase the very best features, shorts, documentaries and animations from South Carolina and across the globe. The films received will screen under committee review, with Official Selections announced closer to the event. Most films are premieres or sneak previews, with some having special relevance to the South, or social issues both local and international.

Last year the non-profit CIFF welcomed over 3,000 attendees from the Lowcountry, across the U.S., and abroad. In addition to showcasing movie premieres, Charleston International Film Festival will be offering industry workshops and panels presented free of charge in conjunction with the Center for the Documentary and the South Carolina Film Commission. As well as, after-parties at choice Charleston nightspots, and filmmaker chats onboard the Blue Moon Classic Motor Yacht. The event culminates on the fourth and final night with the Awards Gala to recognize the very best of filmmaking and screenwriting displayed during the competition.
