DocsBarcelona features a carefully chosen series of films selected by eminent members of the international documentary scene. A Pitching Forum will be held alongside the Festival on 1 and 2 February.

DocsBarcelona Festival is divided into the following categories: Panorama, dedicated to recent productions. Works in this category will be selected by Tue Steen Müller, who directed the European Documentary Network from its foundation in 1996 to 2005. Le Dernier Repas, a showcase of the favourite films of an experienced documentary professional, in this case, Eckart Stein, who directed ZDF’s ‘Das kleine Fernsehspiel’ for more than 2 decades, where he co-produced some of the best documentaries seen in recent years. History. This section features a prestigious group of films selected by Montse Armengou. Montse is a journalist with more than 20 years of experience directing historical documentaries for TV3. 12 – 16, a documentary showcase for young people between the ages of 12 and 16. These documentaries will be introduced by their directors, who will participate in round table discussions after the screenings. DocsBarcelona Pitching Forum is open for submissions of documentary projects until 4 December 2006.
