The natural park of Monte Faito, embracing from one side the Sorrentine peninsula, the Bay of Naples and the volcano Vesuvius and from the other side the Amalfi coast, hosts every summer the FAITO DOC FESTIVAL, a new meeting place for the documentary cinema.

The festival acts as a privileged platform for intercultural exchanges, thinking and dialogue. Room is also given to photography and painting exhibitions and music concerts of ethnical, baroque music or jazz.

The 4th edition has been designed under the theme of “Identity”.

The aim of the festival is to show that one can tell a story from a personal point of view, with a twist, a glance. The directors' point of view can be poetic, critical, autobiographical, surreal or metaphysical, open to creativity and innovation. The selected documentariy films should exploit the expressive potential of film language: photography, sound, editing and privilege the situations to classic interviews. We intend to promote in Europe the documentary as "direct cinema" of authors who know how to dream, how to cast doubt on the certainties, and describe differently the world, helping in circulating ideas and successful experiences in new ways.
