Submission Call


The European Independent Film Festival (ÉCU) 2010 is currently accepting submissions in thirteen categories including features, shorts, documentaries, animation, foreign, experimental and student films. Filmmakers are invited to submit their films at www.ecufilmfestival.com.

Since its inception five years ago, ÉCU has become one of Europe’s premier events for independent filmmakers and their audiences. The festival has served as a launching pad for many independent filmmakers careers.

ÉCU’s mantra is to discover, promote and screen the very best independent films from around the world to large international audiences, talent scouts and agents
every year in Paris, France. At ÉCU 2009, dozens of distribution agreements were signed, and several films were sold directly after their screening.

The ‘ÉCU 2010 Official Selection’ will represent the pinnacle of contemporary independent filmmaking talent from around the world as filmmakers compete for twenty-two awards including the prestigious title of “Europe’s Best Independent Film”.

After the Paris festival screenings in March 2010, a selection of ÉCU’s official selection will be presented at our partner festivals around the World.

The early deadline for submissions is December 14th, 2009 and the late deadline is January 4, 2010. All information regarding the festival can be found at www.ecufilmfestival.com

Venue: Le Grand Action (Paris)

Categories: Feature, short, documentary, student films, animation, experimental, news and reportage. There is also a script competition as well as featured categories Ecology Now and Made on Mobiles.

Submission deadline: Early deadline 14th December 2009, late deadline 14th January 2010.
