TiFF is looking for films from filmmakers with a clear vision and concept. TiFF accepts all genres, all lengths, and all types of films. The main element we are looking for is interesting work. TiFF specifically favors low-budget, independent filmmaking which is looking to increase its international audience and create greater aware of the film to the European and global market.

There are no limits to what we will consider... as long as it's good! TiFF is looking for some fantastic work to kick off our first year. The main thing we are looking for is truly independent and unique voices from filmmakers.

Since TiFF is in its first year the competition probably won't be quite so stiff which gives you a better shot at winning an award. Awards will be given in such areas as: Best Feature, Best Short, Best Animation, Best Experimental, Best Director, Best Young Filmmaker, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Cinematographer, and Best Wardrobe.
