Upland Independent Film Festival wishes to give filmmakers a venue for their short works. This is not a serious or elite film festival. Instead, Upland wants filmmakers to have fun and keep it short and sweet. Have fun and maybe you’ll be a winner!

Submission Categories

All films must be 10 minutes in length or less! Obviously, the 1 minute short must be even shorter.

Makers of each category-winning film will receive $150, and the makers of the over-all festival winner will receive an additional $250 for a grand prize of $400!

Entry Fees

Music videos, Bloomington shorts, Comedies, and Documentaries have an entry fee of $20.
Student-produced films have an entry fee of $15 (with photocopy of valid student ID).
1 minute Short films will have an entry fee of $10.
Please pay in U.S. funds by check or money order. There is a $20 fee for any check returned by your bank as unpaid or insufficient funds. Filmmakers paying the student rate must include a photocopy of their valid student ID. Checks are payable to “Upland Brewing Company.”
